A week of intense dance training designed to expose students to graduated levels of conditioning, toning and technique in a variety of movement styles: ballet, jazz, modern, and hip-hop. Additional activities include learning about important dancers and particular eras of dance and watching dance videos. Students will expand their horizons by pushing individual boundaries safely. Dancers will experiment with choreography and perform at the culminating assembly. Poise, confidence in self-expression, respect for self and others and team unity will be stressed as goals of the program.
