Explore your creative process through drawing, painting and printmaking! Practicing artist Meryl Lebowitz will focus on the fundamentals of drawing and painting. Students will explore several drawing tools and types of paint on different surfaces. Both indoor and outdoor venues will be used. Artist, designer and educator Ellen Levitt will concentrate on the techniques of printmaking, encompassing a wide range of possibilities for students to explore, such as relief, intaglio, screen-printing, and monotype. Students will gain a working knowledge of the tools, methods and materials to enable them to develop and translate their own ideas in a variety of mediums. Students will have the opportunity to display their works at the final assembly. This session is for the student who is serious about art and wants to expand his or her knowledge of media and tools. A $50 materials fee is included in the tuition.
